One Simple Method for Improving Sleep and Easing a Cluttered Mind

Years ago, somebody provided me a bit of advice that I would like to share with the message board. She said how the bedroom is for sleep, and....well, a three letter word I shall leave to your imagination. Essentially, the point was that thoughts of work or other stresses should be kept out of the bedroom for maximum sleep at night. One night, while tossing and turning thinking about the day at work and more importantly the day to come, I remembered this advice, and committed to a new silly little exercise. Whenever a thought about work entered my head, I told myself that it was "cleansed" away from this place, washed away like the rain, and from that point on whenever the slightest negative thought would come into my mind, I would instantly think about the calming rain. The funny thing is, over time it worked! Might be something to try if anyone is interested.
