Image Training for Improvement Off of the Field

Hey everyone, because of work I haven't been able to get outside to actually work on my soccer technique as much as I've wanted to, but I have been doing plenty of image training instead. What I mean by that is that I've spent a while visualizing the movements that I want my body to do and essentially mentally rehearsing them over and over until I'm mentally exhausted. When I have found the time to go practice for real, I feel like I'm definitely not worse than I was and possibly even improving. I'm pretty sold on the value of this kind of practice, but what thoughts/experiences/feedback does anyone else have? I'm really interested to learn about this concept a bit more!
