At home, it takes me about 45 minutes to get ready, which includes hair, makeup and getting dressed. I work in a casual office, but I try to dress nice and fix my hair and makeup because I tend to have better days when I look better (a psychological trick that goes back to college). Brew a cup of coffee, and I'm out the door. My morning routine at work is where I've been struggling. To correct this, I purchased a Full Focus Planner. It instructs you to create a morning work routine -- important for me so I don't zone out into the depths of Reddit for two hours and then wonder why my work is piling up. Now my morning work routine is:
1. Fill up water cup
2. Update my nutrition log from the previous day
3. Empty my email inboxes (goal is inbox: 0)
4. Review slack messages
5. Open & review my content calendar
6. Review my weekly and daily goals
A week in and it seems to help get me in the right frame of mind to start the day.
