    Celebrating the Small Things

Thank you for sharing this. It was the sort of motivation I needed to hear this morning. *hugs*

The "Little" Keys To My Success

In this post I want to give shout out to the "unsung heroes" of my success. My old yet trust HP and Asus Laptops, my stable internet connection, my quiet spot in the basement, my family and friends for understanding that my freelancing is "real work" and I keep odd hours at times, my coffee pot...

    10,000 steps a day

It is a great start Allison and I think it is wise that you are taking it slow and working your way up! Going all in and trying to go from being somewhat sedentary (3000 to 5000 steps a day) to 10K steps a day could backfire on a person and actually cause them to lose motivation.

    10,000 steps a day

Between the app on my phone and my previous use of FitBit (loved that thing before my dog ate it) my steps are counted in some way shape or form and I find it quite motivational. If I set my goal for say 7500 steps for the day and I see that I'm 300 steps away from making that goal in the...

    Personal Milestones

Do any of you set personal milestones for yourself when you are working toward a new goal or on a new project? If so, what are they and how do you hold yourself accountable? Do you do anything if you don't meet them?

Exercises That Are Easy on a Bad Knee

Thank you so much nfilas! I'll have to look into getting a better quality knee brace than the one I have now. Mine is rather flimsy too. I have some exercises that I do but I'm going to ask a professional for some advice.

6 Lifestyle Habits for More Clarity

This is a wonderful idea and I can't wait to look into and share this video. Most people undervalue just how important having this kind clarity in life is... and it is not something that comes easy for most. So thank you for creating and sharing this.

    Google Drive / Google Docs

I have to agree with you Alex when you call it a lifesaver! It's saved me many times as well. The ability to login and access anywhere is golden and that offline feature makes any trip (when you are not manning the vehicle lol) go by so quickly. I do tons of editing for other people with it too!

    Success at Work

Thank you so much for sharing that link CV. I'm always looking to expand my small collection of helpful and up to date websites on this subject matter. It's nice to see a site that is not just another carbon copy of what is already out there. Plus it's not so easy to go to human resources at...

    Google Drive / Google Docs

I personally cannot sing the praises of Google Drive / Google Docs enough. As an avid writer it has given me the ability to access my work nearly everywhere I frequent, while on the move and has allowed me to collaborate with as many people as necessary and all for free. I can write and edit on...

Exercises That Are Easy on a Bad Knee

Does anyone know of any good exercises that work well for someone with chronic knee pain? Everything seems to aggravate my knee and I don't know how to swim. I did do a water aerobics class but none in my area really work with my schedule. Any suggestions, advice and even links to videos would...

    Financial Advice

For a young person I would tell them to keep in mind the difference between wants and needs. It is hard for a young mind at times to truly separate these two things. They think they NEED the latest phone or MUST HAVE a new outfit to wear for the weekend and mindsets like this can really hurt a...

    Writing proccess

For anything under 800 words I try to keep my research time under 2 hours (under one if I can manage it) I know this doesn't sound like much but in 300-500 words you are only going to be able to offer an overview at most on any topic. If you are getting paid to do these articles, any time over...

    Writing proccess

These are all great ideas, Tyler. I was already doing a few of them but I think I'm going to try them all. Your suggestion to make an outline sounds like it may be the solution I've been looking for to get back on some sort of track this year with my own writing goals. Thank you.

    Too much social media

Facebook and several other social media sites can really be a time suck. If I have goals set for the day that do not include 2 hours spent scrolling through the myriad of posts I set a timer. Be it for 10 minutes or 30. Doing so can really start making and keeping you aware of just how much time...

Quitting full-time job and freelancing for full-time income

Working at a job that is unfulfilling or just plain makes you miserable is an awful thing to endure (I've been there and I don't miss that soul sucking pit of despair). Freelancing can be difficult and you have to be your own motivation but it can be done! If you decide to do so I wish you the...

Best foods for memory and brain function

There are a lot of superfoods out there and we should all probably work a bit harder to make sure we incorporate these foods into our daily diets. some of my favorites are Acai berries, kale, avocado and sardines (I know, I know "yikes canned fish" but served the right way, like on avocado toast...

    A Quote to Motivate

Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears. — Les Brown Truer words have not been spoken. Fear is the thing that holds most of us back from everything we wish to achieve in life. It keeps us in jobs we hate and away from people and things we love. In a sense living...

    Get some sleep

I couldn't tout the benefits of proper sleep enough. I think people forget how fundamental and essential sleep is to proper brain function. There is a reason why we make more mistakes when we are tired. Our brains do not function well without adequate rest.
