6 Lifestyle Habits for More Clarity

Thanks for sharing this! It’s a great video. Some of it is stuff we all should be doing but don’t. I definitely need to spend more time in nature. And I definitely need more quiet!

Staying out of the YouTube, Netflix, Hulu rabbit hole

I’m not sure I’m the best person to give this advice because I love Netflix etc too! But I’ve been using a timer and it’s helpful. I work for an hour, then take a break for x minutes. Or the pomodoro technique - work 25 min, break 5 min. Having clear time limits helps!

    Success at Work

This website has been so helpful to me in navigating challenges at work. http://www.askamanager.com It's an advice column, but it's all about stuff going on in a workplace. Reading about what others go through and hearing the advice has been so meaningful for me in how I look at conflict in...

    Memory Improvement Tricks

Practice! I find little associations when it’s something I need to remember for a short time. Like a little jingle for what I’m trying to keep in my head. Or saying something in my head again and again in a different way. Some association that’s weird so it’s harder to forget.

    Article about Buddhism, meditation

I found this article very interesting. (Though the title is kind of click bait.) One of the points is about how meditation is helpful in developing cognitive empathy (not just emotional empathy), which is the ability to see things from other people's perspective. Pets Can Contribute to Self-Help (w/ Pic)

Definitely! When I’m striggling with mental health and want to hide away, I can’t. I have to take my dog out. And I can’t be too down when she’s always so happy and playful. It’s not the same as human companionship of course. But it’s a nice way to stay grounded in the moment. My dog doesn’t...

Advice for kicking a sugar habit

Quitting cold turkey is all that's worked for me in the past. BUT it only works if I have a very, very clear plan for what I'm going to eat in the meantime. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. If I can put together a super clear, exact meal plan for a few weeks then I can kick the habit. Otherwise...

    Help, Advice, and Connection

Hi all! I’m here for three reasons: help, advice, and connections. The first two are closely related. I’d love help and advice on areas in my life in which I struggle. Motivation. Mindfulness. Forming good habits. I also want to help others with their goals. There’s so much information out...
