Morning sunlight gives me a super boost.

Nothing quite like getting some morning sunlight. One of the very first things I do after waking up is that I step outside my backyard and give myself that extra natural recharge before starting my day. Do some of you on here do the same? Please let me know.

I actually sleep with all of my blinds open so that the sun wakes me up before my alarm (in the summers). The best way to wake up it to sunlight, and it completely makes my morning. I go for a run or do yoga, and it brightens my day. I believe this stems from Vitamin D, and has something to do with how the seasons affect us too. I get a different kind of happy on rainy days though, so I might just be a morning person lol

That's the way to do it! Unfortunately for me, the sun doesn't hit my room as well. Yes, Vitamin D is known for boosting our mood for the better. Morning runs are truly the best. You feel so energized and ready to seize the day ahead.

Yes because direct sunlight in the morning especially 6:00 am to 7:00 am has a high concentrated amounts of Vitamin A in it and it will boost your immune system as well it can also prevent certain skin diseases because it makes your skin tough. :)

I actually hadn't thought to go outside in the morning, but this is actually a great idea. Thanks for the suggestion! I am going to try this and see if it makes any difference. I am not a morning person at all lol

Yesss, all the love for morning sunlight! I have found I am a much happier person (and in a better mood i.e. I am NOT a morning person) when I'm able to wake up to a room glowing with morning sun. I keep all our blinds in the house open or cracked for this reason. Sunlight just adds an extra slice of love to life

Yes!!!!! It's amazing, isn't it? One of the major advantages of living on the West Coast is that you can add some sunlight into your life. It's like a cheat code to brighten your day. That's why I will never leave LA.

Living in the home that was my grandmother's, I sense that she knew what she was doing every day by getting and going outside. She may have gone for the newspaper or puttered around in a garden bed, but she went outside. She greeted the sun. Dead of winter didn't stop her one bit, and we are in the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania. I believe it is not just sunlight. It's the fresh morning air and sunlight. I know when I have a chance to be near the sea- it's the morning air with the new sun that is revitalizing and the most beautiful.

Your grandma is legendary. Elders are too wise and usually know what they're doing while the younger people might think their ideas are mad or outdated. I agree with the fresh morning air too.

Soaking in or better yet breathing in morning fresh air is beneficial to start off your day right. It's a shame how polluted the world has become but whatever chance you get to inhale some natural air, please go ahead and do it.

Is it really sunnier in LA than most other cities? I've always wanted to visit but never have! Everyone I know from LA is obsessed and if they live elsewhere, they miss it and can't wait to move back.

I relate so much with this post. It's funny because I've always considered myself a night owl but whenever I would assume that identity, I felt it was lacking because there truly is something about morning sunlight that is so ethereal and heartwarming. It sounds sappy but it is such a magical, quiet time of day. I love to take walks in the morning, anywhere that there's a lot of shady trees. I find that these morning walks help to clear my head, improve my mood, and give me time to reflect and just feel grateful and new before delving into a busy schedule.

What a great way to start the day! One of my main goals in life is to buy a house with a nice, semi-shaded patio where I can sit and enjoy my coffee and soak up the morning sunshine. I'm not even kidding. Throw in some west coast jazz and that's it. I'm done. Sheer bliss!

Oh trust me, it's true, very true. I guess being obsessed with nature and its benefits is a good thing lol. I've traveled from coast to coats on a regular basis and the one thing I can say is that there aren't many better places when it comes to consistent sunny weathers than LA or the west coast. It's beautiful and has wonderful benefits. I understand why people miss it, because I do too when I'm away.

Agree with all of the above! Where I live has harsh winters, and I have found that “happy lights” can help my energy and simulate that natural sunlight feel. I also recently found out that I had a vitamin D shortage, in part due to the long winter, so I really encourage people to look out for that as it can affect your mood/energy levels drastically!

Yes!! There is something truly wonderful about waking up naturally with the sun. I don't get to do that very much these days, since I leave at 6 am for work when it's still dark, and I rise early on weekends to go running. But on those rare days it happens -- pure delight!

My favorite way to start my morning lately has been to wake up earlier than I need to for work, grab my coffee and go for a walk! I usually just walk about 20-30 minutes or about a mile, but it gets me out in the sunshine and moving my body without being too strenuous on my body like running would be.

Absolutely! There's something magical about the morning sunlight. It's like nature's energy booster. By the way, have you considered how NZ Blinds could enhance your mornings even more? 😊
